IT Trainer / Coach
We
are now looking to take on another IT Coach/Trainer
to deliver Microsoft technical training courses to
students on a one2one basis via our Training Centre
which has upto 20 students in it at a time, each
student is likely to be studying a different course
as well as at different pace to each of the other
students, which is unlike the old style traditional
and less effective ILT(Instructor Led Courses)
courses of the past.
Our classroom based CybaClass solution is a highly knowledge
retentive training technique that achieves for its
students greater leaps in retained knowledge and
learning levels that have never been experienced in
the training industry before.
The job will involve a fair amount of flexibility:
-
2 days of the week you may be coaching a student
toward an MCSE certification.
- The other 3
days of the week you may be teaching one student
toward Cisco CCNA , one student toward an MCP
and another toward an MCDST, yes this is a very
innovative and interactive training method,
where you will utilize the latest technology to
teach technology, but importantly your core role
will be to reinforce this technological learning
technique by coaching a student to meet their
individual needs.
We
aren't necessarily looking for software experts
(although you will become one very quickly) - just a
good aptitude for computing and math, a desire to
teach and a willingness to learn, backed up by a
couple of years of real world experience working
within an IT dept/environment. We tend to
teach more advanced courses than the average
training company so an MCP - MCSE, or other
equivalent / higher qualification would be
advantageous, but remember all teaching is about
being interesting, entertaining and well-prepared.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, perhaps
have a background in teaching or drama, have a good
sense of humour and loads of self-confidence!
We don't want someone who has been in ILT training
for many years (although we would consider
applications from current trainers who have been in
the job for less than 5 years).
You would spend 3 months training and getting up to
speed within our technology and techniques- learning
the technical tracks, observing courses, etc. -
gradually giving more courses during this period.
You would receive a starting salary during this
period of about £20-25k p.a. for the right candidate
(existing technical computer trainers could expect
more than this). This starting salary would be
reviewed after the initial training period and then
at regular intervals. Typically our trainers
can expect to be earning in excess of £30,000 after
2-3 years with the company.
We offer 23 days paid holiday per year, 2/3 days of
which must be taken between Christmas and New Year.
There are some restrictions on when other days can
be taken We also offer a high-specification
laptop for business and personal use while you work
with CybaCoach and free fruit and biscuits in the
office!
